The Vulnerable Asset Scoring Tool (VAST) estimates a vulnerability score based on three components: exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity. Exposure represents how exposed an asset is to flooding or extreme precipitation. Sensitivity determines the susceptibility of a particular asset to being damaged by an extreme precipitation or flooding event. Adaptive capacity is a measure of how important an asset is to overall functioning of the transportation system. Update frequency: As needed.
